We collect information you provide directly to us when you:

• Set up a healer profile (specializations, availability, biography)
• Book a session (date, time, session preferences, notes)
• Make payments (processed securely via Stripe; we do not store card details)
• Submit reviews or ratings
• Contact support or file a complaint

We also automatically collect certain technical information, including your device type, operating system, timezone, and push notification token (if you grant permission).

We may process wellness-related information voluntarily shared by users during sessions. This does not include medical or clinical health data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Facilitate communication and wellness sessions between users and healers
• Facilitate bookings between clients and healers
• Process wallet top-ups and session payments via Stripe
• Send push notifications about bookings and session updates
• Display healer profiles and reviews to clients
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes
• Improve and maintain our platform

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Between clients and healers: Booking details and session information are shared as necessary to facilitate sessions.
• Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe, Inc. under their Privacy Policy.
• Jitsi Meet: Video sessions use Jitsi Meet for secure video conferencing.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our PostgreSQL database hosted on Replit's infrastructure. We use bcrypt hashing for passwords and HTTPS for all data transmission. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and we never store card numbers or CVVs.

5. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications about booking confirmations, status changes, and live session alerts. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

6. Video Sessions

Video calls are conducted through Jitsi Meet. Each session has a unique room identifier. We do not record or store video session content.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Ivaraah is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

9. Health Information & Wellness Data

Ivaraah is a wellness and energy healing platform and does not provide medical or clinical services of any kind.

We do NOT collect, store, or process medical records, clinical health data, or any regulated health information.

Users may voluntarily share personal wellness-related information — such as emotional state, stress levels, or general well-being concerns — during sessions with healers. This information:

• Is shared directly between the user and the healer
• Is not stored as structured health or medical data by Ivaraah
• Is not used for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or medical evaluation of any kind

Ivaraah does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All services on the platform are intended solely for wellness, relaxation, and personal well-being purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share any user-provided information with third parties for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

If Ivaraah introduces features that involve collection or processing of sensitive health data in the future, such data will be handled securely and in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

• Account data (name, email, role): Retained for the lifetime of your account. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
• Booking records: Retained for up to 2 years after the session date for operational and dispute-resolution purposes, then permanently deleted.
• Payment transaction records: Retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial and tax regulations. Card details are never stored by Ivaraah — they are held solely by Stripe.
• Session messages (text sessions): Retained for the duration of the booking period and deleted within 90 days of session completion.
• Push notification tokens: Retained while your account is active. Removed when you delete your account or withdraw notification permission.
• Support and complaint records: Retained for up to 1 year after resolution.
• Wellness-related information shared during sessions: Not stored as structured data by Ivaraah. Any incidental retention is subject to the same deletion schedule as booking records.

You may request early deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@ivarah.app or using the in-app account deletion feature.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of Ivaraah after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
